In this state, lots of energy is conserved, and the flying mammals can survive for up to six months depending on the grams of fat stored in their bodies. By the end of the cold weather, they\u2019ll have lost up to half their body weight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where bats hibernate<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

During the cold months, bats move into secluded dark places where they curl up like little balls in hollow trees, caves and other isolated areas. An abandoned building where they’re not likely to be disturbed is also a good hibernation space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
